Candle Care

FAQ

How do I care for my candle?
The best way for them to last, is once they have cooled down to trim the wick to no less than 5mm each time after being used or before use.
This will extend the life of your candle.

How do you clean a candle wick?
Trim it to 5mm is best.

How do you maintain a candle holder?
Candle jars when empty are easiest to clean by putting them into a sink and filling up the sink to near the top of the outside of the jar with hot water. Then let it sit for 5-10 mins and then scoop out wax, as it should have softened.

Are essential oils dangerous for our pets?
We are looking into this. We would suggest for you to check from a reputable company that has a record of the tests been done for the oils you want to use & see if there are any side affects for pets.
From our observation & study we haven't found any backing to the statement that they are harmful to animals if used correctly, also because its such a small amount of essential oil it certainly wouldn't be as toxic as normal candle scents, which in Europe you can check their safety levels. Alot say not to burn with fish tanks in the room. (Hence the reason we changed from using those scents to essential oils)
We too have pets and the only side affects are cats swinging from curtains!
